Kendal College took the winning title at the much anticipated grand final of the UK Young Seafood Chef Competition 2017. The Grimsby Institute were delighted to announce the winning team at the final, which saw nine colleges from across the UK compete to take the prestigious title. Sponsors this year included; Seafish, Young’s, Thermomix, Russums, Oak Ridge Group and Koppert Cress.
Koppert cress have donated a fantastic prize for first place.
The winner(s) will be guests of Koppert Cress, global growers of Micro-Greens.
The prize consists of a four day culinary experience which will include, two days spent in two different starred restaurants, full tour of Koppert Cress facilities and growing gardens, one day spent discovering what foodpairing is with your very own CressCoach and on the final day you will sample new trends and visit markets.
Also: the first ten colleges that express an interest to enter the 2017 competition will gain three free boxes of Koppertcress vareties to practice with….email me quickly to get one as only ten colleges will get this.
